Meet Jeannie
Returning Billions to American Taxpayers. Fighting for Families and a Stronger Illinois. Not a Politician.

I am Jeannie Evans, a mother, wife, and winning attorney, running for United States Senate to bring real change to Illinois and Washington.
I have taken on corporate monopolies and won billions of dollars in justice for working Americans. As your Senator, I will cut red tape and taxes, reduce crime, make communities safer, and expand education and job opportunities for the people of Illinois.
My parents raised me to embrace hard work, sports, and service. From running cross-country to winning in the courtroom, I learned perseverance, and I developed a deep gratitude for the United States Constitution and the freedoms we enjoy and must fight to preserve in this country. This inspires me to run for Senate and win for Illinois.
I graduated summa cum laude from Brigham Young University with a degree in political science and interned for my Congressman and the Republican Study Committee, gaining insight into national policy. I paused my studies to serve as a Christian missionary in Hong Kong for a year and a half. In 1993, I married James Evans; we have built a wonderful 32-year marriage on love, strong values, and adventure.
I earned my law degree from Harvard Law School, where I was active in the Federalist Society and served as executive editor of the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy. I welcomed my son during law school and three daughters in the years that followed. I chose to step away from law for six years to be a full-time mother and homemaker in Illinois. My husband and I raised our children on the South Side of Chicago, in Hyde Park, where James teaches as a professor. I coached soccer and baseball teams, tutored in classrooms, chaperoned field trips, and participated in community service with our local interfaith community.
I returned to the courtroom in 2010, joining Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago. Then I co-founded a litigation firm before becoming a partner at Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro, one of the nation’s top plaintiff firms. As an antitrust enforcement lawyer, I have secured billions in settlements for American consumers and small businesses—forcing corporations to stop illegal practices and lower prices. My work has earned the American Antitrust Enforcement Award from the American Antitrust Institute. I ranked as one of America’s Leading Plaintiff Financial Lawyers in 2024 and 2025, and I have been named an Illinois Super Lawyer. I served as President of the Harvard Law Society of Illinois and Chapter Chair of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society.
Faith is a cornerstone of my life as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have taught Bible study to children, teens, and adults. I served as president of the women’s organization in my congregation and the broader Chicago region, building friendships and drawing inspiration from my community and the amazing people within it.
My commitment to public safety and justice is personal. I lost my older brother, an innocent victim of drug-related gun violence, at age 21. Another brother has battled mental illness and addiction throughout his adult life. Living on Chicago’s South Side, I have witnessed the toll of crime on families and friends. This fueled my resolve to reduce violence, reform juvenile detention and prisons, and expand education, job training, and rehabilitation programs.
As Senator, I will fight for safe streets and smart criminal justice reforms. I will support those struggling with addiction. I will work for Illinois families, mourning with those who mourn and fighting for justice and opportunity.
With my family—my husband James and our four children, educated in Chicago’s public schools—I have called Illinois home for over two decades. I understand the challenges facing working families: the skyrocketing cost of living and heavy tax burden. I am running for U.S. Senate to deliver results, not talk. I will fight for a thriving economy, safe communities, individual liberty, and a bright future for everyone in Illinois.
